Smooching up to the boss is a long and honest tradition. 
They might hate you, and they certainly will throw you under the buss in a heartbeat..
Yet, you still try your best to stay put and go up the ladder so you can have people suck up to you.
It's a vicious cycle of abuse. No one wants to acknowledge it, but it's sadly true.
And at the end of the day.. the only thing you really want to do.. is fucking viciously beat the shit out of them. With a smile, ofcourse.
